Wan Chai post office was built in 1913, it is located at No.221 Queens Road East, Wan Chai, and the building is the oldest surviving post office building. After serving for almost 77 years as a post office, by 1993 the building became an Environmental Resource Centre, operated by the Environmental Protection Department.
Wan Chai post office is a declared monument since 1990 and due to degradation their roof have needs to be rebuilt. Wah Lap has taken on this project, renewing their old roof but maintaining their simple pitched-roof structure with beautiful gable ends and moldings.
